Do you offer taster lessons?

We offer taster lessons for students having lessons at school but not at the studio.

For studio lessons we suggest booking a 30 minute lesson if you want to give drums a try.
Do I have to pay for a block of lessons?

Our studio lessons are on a pay-as-you-go basis and are paid for when you book the lesson via our online booking page. If you decide that you love drumming and want to have a regular lesson, we can reserve a slot for you so you don’t have to book it yourself. We just require payment before every session is confirmed and this can be either a card payment at the studio or via an invoice.

School lessons are paid for in blocks of either 5 or 10.
What age do you recommend starting lessons?

As long as the student can reach the pedals and is able to focus for long enough to learn then we don’t mind what age they are. We usually find that students younger than 5 can’t concentrate for long enough to get much out of the lesson, but this depends on the individual.
What equipment do I need to have a Virtual Lesson?

Lessons are conducted via Zoom so the most important thing for a student to have is a device like a laptop (preferred), phone or tablet and a stable Internet connection. A drum kit or practice pad is useful too but we’ve had students use pillows before! Headphones are also recommended to get the most out of the lesson.

The Zoom meeting code will be sent out in your confirmation Email where there is also a link to our guide for setting up Zoom so it has optimum audio quality (don’t worry – this is fairly quick and easy to do)!
How do school lessons work?

Our school lessons are held during school time and students have to leave normal school lessons (including core subjects) to attend.

We send out a timetable for our lessons at the start of term and will notify parents/carers if a student starts to miss their lessons.

School lessons are paid for in blocks of either 5 or 10 and available as 20 or 30 minute sessions.
What notice do I need to give if I want to cancel?

Studio Lessons – We require 48 hours notice for any cancellation otherwise the full lesson fee will be retained. If you sign up for an account at the time of booking you will be able to reschedule by logging in.

School Lessons – Individual lessons cannot be changed or cancelled once they’ve been timetabled. If you do not wish lessons to continue please inform us with a term’s (or five weeks) written notice sent by Email.

Buying a drum kit?

We offer free advice to students about purchasing new drum kits, cymbals and drum sticks and can help put you in touch with the right shop. We also offer a drum kit maintenance, set up, tuning and repair service.
